ANI Blocking Technology Page
The statistics for ASR, ACD, and SDP are tracked for every caller ID/ANI that reaches the network in real time. If an ANI is used in over 100 call attempts within a 30 minute time period then it qualifies for analysis. Caller IDs with a lower amount of attempts than this will be ignored, as they do not qualify for analysis. If the ANI/Caller ID qualifies for analysis, then the thresholds set by the user will be compared to the actual statistics being produced by the caller ID during the 30 minute QOS period. If a threshold is not met, then the caller ID is added to a block list for 24 hours and any subsequent attempts will be immediately rejected. After 24 hours the Caller ID comes off the block list and calls can be passed during that time. Blocking can be turned off completely, and settings can be changed at any time. Blocking activity and statistics can also be viewed at any time.
